Crochet Pattern For Preemie Size Mittens

•Use an F hook with baby yarn or D hook with sport weight yarn [Work all stitches in back loop only.]


•CH 21; SC in second CH from hook and in each CH across; CH 1 and turn

•Rows 2-3: SC in first SC and in each SC across; CH 1 & turn

•Row 4: CH 3; *skip first SC, DC in next SC, CH 1* across. Turn. Ribbon row done.

•Row 5: SC in each DC & each CH 1 space. Turn. (19sc)

•Rows 6-8: SC in each SC, turn at end of row

•Row 9: Skip first SC , SC in each SC across except skip last SC. Turn.

•Rows 10-14: Repeat directions for rows 6-8

•Row 15: *Skip first two SC; draw up a loop in each of next 3 SC, YO & draw through all loops on hook. Repeat from * to end of row. Fasten off, leaving a 12 inch length of yarn.

•Using a darning needle, weave together the end & side of mitten. Turn right side out. Weave a ribbon thru DC row.
